Rising appetite for Europe ex UK

Brexit seems to lead investors to look more closely at European equity funds that exclude the UK.

In the past 12 months, and especially the last few weeks, the demand for equity funds Euroland and Europe ex UK has risen at the expense of UK equities.

This trend has been particularly pronounced within the big Swiss banks for a while, but has been accentuated by Swiss private banks within recent weeks. Other European institutions have also heavily increased their attention to Europe ex UK equities in 2017 at the expense of UK equities. Investors domiciled in Spain significantly enforced this trend.

Within Europe ex UK the winners are BlackRock Continental European Flexible, GAM Star Continental European Equity and Henderson Gartmore Continental European.
